Great day today at our Open Day. A big thank you to everyone who helped make it so successful. From all the donations for catering and the time donated to help serve and wash cups. St. Mary’s is celebrating 175 Years of continuous Catholic Education. Founded in 1842 in Williamstown, St Mary’s Primary School has been identified as the oldest continuously operating Catholic school in Victoria. Creating a proud history which includes a direct association with the Sisters of St Joseph from 1900 to 1999. The strong link between Parish, school and community continues today. St. Mary’s Primary school will be celebrating this exciting milestone with a Community Thanksgiving Mass and Open School Day on Sunday the 21st of May. Mass will commence at 10.30am followed by a light lunch with tea and coffee in the School Hall. St Mary’s School will then be opening its doors inviting the Williamstown community, past, present and future students a chance to step inside and explore the schools history. On show will be memorabilia and stories from the past 175yrs as well as a look into how the school has changed.
