An emergency management training drill was run at Wellington Caves on the weekend. Thank you to everyone involved, it was a very successful event and such a great learning tool for all responders involved.

We are very excited to be having a new pool being installed at Wellington Caves. As the new pool is going in, it does unfortunately mean our pool is currently out of action. We expect for the new pool to be open by 27.02.17. We have arranged free entry into the Wellington Pool for any guests staying in the park.

Alternative Tour Schedule for Saturday 18th of February There will be no 10:00 am or 12:00 pm Cathedral Cave on Saturday 18th of February, due to an emergency service exercise being conducted in Cathedral cave. The Phosphate and Fossils tour will be run in place of the 10:00 am and 12:00 pm Cathedral Cave tour, and a 1:30 pm Cathedral Cave tour will be offered instead of the Gaden. Tour Schedule for Saturday 18th of February 10:00 am – Phosphate & Fossils 11:00 am – Phosphate & Fossils 12:00 pm – Phosphate & Fossils 1:30 pm – Cathedral Cave 2:30 pm – Phosphate & Fossils 3:30 pm – Cathedral Cave

Did you know carbon dioxide levels can fluctuate in Caves? We are currently getting some higher readings in Gaden cave, as a precaution we are running Cathedral Cave tour or the Phosphate and Fossils tour as an alternative. We hope to be able to open it up again shortly.
