Well it's not every day you get asked to auger holes in a runway with WW2 planes getting ready to take off behind you. This was a couple of months ago for a geotechnical engineering client we do a lot of work for, drilling test holes prior to resurfacing. Definitely one to remember.

Excavator number three got its first workout today in Pakington st Geelong.
Due to rapid growth and securing new contracts we have multiple positions available for excavator operators required to operate between 1.7t/ mini bobcat and small tipper combination and 5t excavator / cat 216B Bobcat with 6t tipper combination. All gear is new. Must have minimum 4 year experience and be fully competent and confident to operate all machinery to a very high standard including augers, rock breaker, smudge bars and trucks in an efficient manner. Must be able to work on your own, present well and have a pleasant manner when dealing with clients.. Jobs are varied but include trenching for plumbers and electricians, site cuts, site cleans, and auger holes for builders, concreters and landscapers. Tight access and detailed works including final trim, and spreading of soil and rock. Experience in lasers, landscaping and drainage preferred. Please only apply if you have a "can-do" attitude, aren't afraid of a shovel or scared of the rain, are physically fit and take great pride in your work and are looking to further your career. Work is based mainly around Geelong and Melbourne, with some work further afield on occasion. Position is full time (with a probation period) for the right candidate.
