My Paint Affair
Description
Specialising in Vintage, Rustic, Shabby Chic and Retro paint finishes on furniture and homewares.I am also a watercolour artist.Painting is my passion!
Hi! My name is Debbie Wood and Painting is my Passion.
I am situated in the southern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.
I have studied and practiced painting since my teenage years and am very much seduced by the results of how paint can bring life and beauty to all manner of things, whether it be a blank page, wall or an old piece of furniture.
I am also a strong believer in recycling materials. I think large corporations are making way too much cheap and nasty throw-away type furniture which causes too much landfill and cannot be good for our environment . It disheartens me when I walk through large discount warehouses to see all the cheaply made mass-produced products, which I feel, are designed to make these corporations richer with no regard for the world we live in.
Upcycling furniture is something I strongly believe in. Why throw away well made furniture when you are tired of it? By giving it an updated look with tastefully chosen paint, your old furniture can look wonderful. It won’t look like all the other furniture in the shops. You will have something unique, which has been painted with love and attention to detail.
Please contact me, whether you have a piece you would like me to revamp, or if you have any ideas of what you would like to own. I will endeavour to help you as much as I can.
I have designed my Facebook Page so that you can easily see what i have for sale. Just go to photos and press the album link. You will see albums for Watercolour Paintings, Sold Items, , Commission Pieces, Before and After make-overs.
All pieces currently available to purchase are on my new Group Page MY PAINT AFFAIR BOUTIQUE

A LITTLE ABOUT MY DAY JOB..... What do I do when I'm not painting? I balance books!! My hubby has a Sands and Soils business and I basically run the office. Book-keeping was my worse subject in class, and I never thought I'd be able to get my head around it. Fast forward 30 or so years, and here I am doing just that for a living. It is not something i particularly enjoy, especially when the books don't balance, but I guess its a challenge and keeps my mind active. My fun job is to PAINT :D
