''Storm'' 50ft Motor Cruiser out for it's annual antifoul using Micron Extra 2 by Kym Gross - Shipwright Mobile. Storm is approx 50 years old and had a major restoration completed in 2008 by Kym Gross at Redland City Marina. Hull was splined with celery top pine then fibreglassed with 2000 grams weight of heavy fabrics using epoxy resins. Bulwarks are ironbark and have no fibreglass just painted with Awlcraft 2000. Fitout is done using coachwood and western red cedar with Australian white beech decks that are 35mm thick. Bulwark top and window frames are burmese teak. All timber inside and out has 10 coats of 2 pack clear. Engine is a 6 cylinder Gardner and she holds approx 2000 L of water and 3000 L diesel.

What a transformation on this 24ft Shark Cat. Got to see the before and after photos. it was an old fishing boat that they have transformed into a weekend getaway. 3 weeks on the hardstand, dustless blasting on the hull and topcoat Sprayed by Ken Drummond Marine Services, but all the prep work done by the owners - What a Incredible job you have done and I hope you enjoy your time on Bandicot.

I went down to the Cleveland Yacht Club today to watch everyone prepare and race for the Peel Island Marathon. The yard was full and there was a hive of activity going on. SO great see! I took some photos.
