Fair in the Square Program !!! Local musican Greg Rea will be entertaining the community at The Caves Lions Christmas Fair in the Square with songs & Christmas carols on Friday night 25th November from 6 pm or earlier. This years program includes The CQ Allstar Thunder Cheer Squad do their demos around 6 to 6.10pm followed by Two guitar groups from The Caves school( trained by Brad Accutt) at 6.15 & 6.25 pm approx then The Caves school choir at 6.45pm There will be ham wheels selling from 6pm; with multi draw raffle with the first 12 prizes being drawn around 7.45pm & the remainder drawn around 8.45 pm . Santa will hopefully be calling on his way from the North Pole around 8pm with some lollies for the little children. Santa will be drawing the two free Childrens bike raffles around 8.20pm. These bikes have been kindly donated by Rob & Jenny from The Caves Country Pub. The Christmas Hamper raffle - a wheelbarrow full of Christmas goodies as 1st prize, a carton of beer as 2nd prize & a third prize of a Lions Cake & Lions Christmas pudding - will be drawn around 9pm There are many market stalls including fresh produce & home cooking plus jams, chutneys; plants & herbs; local honey & broms; leadlight & wooden plaques; linen & craft items; childrens clothing, barbie dolls & worms farm & of course the Lions Cakes & Plum Puddings will be available There is a good menu of freshly cooked steak or mince burgers; sausages on bread with onions & sauce & hot chips available from 2 food outlets with hot & cold drinks available from the Neighbourhood Watch stand beside the CQ Catering van.
