On Wednesday 12th October, CRC Sydenham will host it's first ever Film Festival! The Film Festival will showcase the work of Year 12 VCE Media students, allowing friends, family and community members the opportunity to see the film productions undertaken by some of our graduating students. The Film Festival celebrates the creative and technical abilities of some budding young film and media makers and provides them the opportunity to broadcast their work in a professional setting. The shortlisted films have been planned, produced and edited by Marion Bactad, Charlene Dimitrokopoulous, Rederick Dio, Christine Jobli, Kevin Lawang, Joshua Machuca, Janrhio Octura and Trent Oliver. All members of the CRC Sydenham community are invited to attend the event which will be held in the Crate Theatre from 6.30pm. Guests are invited to view a number of exhibitions of student work before the exhibition of the nine shortlisted films being screened. Screening will commence at 7pm and once that concludes, awards will be presented to young filmmakers. The categories include: Best Cinematography, Best Acting, Original or Distinctive Film and the Expert Choice Award. Audience members will be invited to vote for their favourite film and the winner of the Public’s Choice Award will be announced on the night. Please come along and support the talented young filmmakers in our community. Entry is gold coin donation and all proceeds will go towards our fundraising efforts for Timor Leste. Drinks will be available and snacks will be available for purchase.
Best of luck to all VCE VET Music students who have exams on both today and tomorrow (Oct 10/11th) in the Crate Theatre.
