Description
The very best sports, racing and touring cars from yesteryear will be seen in action over the two days of competition. Forty events, 400 Historic race cars and many of Australia's greatest motor racing personalities will be taking part. 2015 Historic Sandown Meeting at Sandown International Raceway – 7 & 8 November 2015
More than 40 events will be staged over two days. Four hundred racing sports and touring cars from yesteryear will compete including ‘big banger’ sports cars and F5000’s.
Meet Vern Schuppan, 1983 Le Mans winner, and other legends of the sport.
Special tributes to two motor racing icons – the late Lex Davidson (50th year anniversary) and the recently deceased Frank Matich, the great Australian driver and constructor. The Matich legacy will be celebrated with the appearance of the all-conquering Matich SR4.
Hundreds of classic cars will be on display for all to admire.

Don't forget to bring your memorabilia to Historic Sandown and have them signed by some of our greats from the past. John McCormack, triple gold star champion and twice winner of the New Zealand Grand Prix will be on hand to meet and greet fans. Other notables include Murray Carter, Fred Gibson and international racer from the 60's John Raeburn. There will be autograph sessions on both Saturday and Sunday!

2016 marks 50 years since Australia’s Jack Brabham won the World Driver’s Championship in a car bearing his own name – the only driver ever to achieve this feat, and the famous 1966 Brabham Repco BT19 will take centre stage at this year’s Historic Sandown meeting. In addition, hundreds of mouth watering display cars will be on show. There will be plenty to see at this year's Historic Sandown!

Exciting news for Formula Junior fans! This year's race will constitute a round of the FJ Diamond Jubilee World Series. A strong contingent of cars overseas are expected to take on the Aussies. Margaret Ealand, wife of the late Roger Ealand, will present the trophies.
