Located on the Brisbane southside, Dr Nelson Gonzalez and Dr Joseph Jabbour provide personalised, reliable and attentive care for your O&G needs.  Sunnybank Centre for Women delivers the highest standards of care to the women on the Brisbane southside, with a personalised approach to your Obstetrics and Gynaecological needs.  We are a dedicated team that offers an accessible and reliable model of care which, at its core, revolves around our patients.

Our team of two doctors and a senior midwife have a wealth of experience and aim to provide you the best care from your first encounter. We have invested in a state-of-the-art clinic at Sunnybank that matches our care provision standards, to ensure you achieve the best results.

Obstetrics Services:
A couple's journey through pregnancy and birth can be both joyful and daunting.  The team at SCFW will facilitate your birth plan with the safety of mother and baby being our first priority.

Gynaecology Services:
At SCFW, we offer a broad range of treatment options for gynaecological ailments including dysmenorrhoea, endometriosis, prolapse, urinary incontinence and menopause.  


Meet the team:

Dr Nelson Gonzalez is a specialist in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.  During his 9 years of practice, he has developed a particular interest in the following areas of Women’s Health:
•   Pregnancy care and management

•   Advanced gynaecological endoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery
•   Colposcopy and cervical cancer screening
•   Family planning
Trained in Queensland, Dr Gonzalez has gained most of his experience from working in tertiary level hospitals, namely Mater Mother’s in Brisbane and the newly upgraded Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Gonzalez has maintained his ties with the public system and is currently employed at the Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals.  He enjoys teaching and mentoring junior medical staff and is involved in GP training under the umbrella of Family Planning Queensland.

Dr Gonzalez combines his experience with warmth, dedication and commitment to his patients as they travel through their life journey.


Dr Joseph Jabbour has over a decade of experience in caring for the needs of expectant mothers, with a strong focus on patient choice.

As a patient, one can expect only the highest standards of professionalism, sensitivity and understanding.

Throughout his experience, Dr Joseph Jabbour has maintained a genuine and empathetic approach to caring for women in all stages of their pregnancy. Joseph is accommodating to the individual requirements of expectant mothers, being proficient in the management of natural births, forceps and vacuum-assisted deliveries, and Caesarean Section. Dr Jabbour will support you throughout your antenatal, antepartum and postnatal care.
