Description
Motivated by coaching and preparing athletes to achieve their potential and to assist sport coaching staff with integration of strength & conditioning. Dylan Hicks is the founder of College Strength & Conditioning (Est. 2014). Dylan has completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Flinders University, majoring in Physical Education, along with a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science (Strength & Conditioning) from Edith
Cowan University.
Over the years he has been involved in physical preparation across a range of sporting disciplines at all levels including novice athletes as well as athletes at the semi pro and pro level, including A-League, SANFL, ABL (Basketball) & Track & Field. As an athlete, Dylan represented South Australia across two different sports; one at the junior level and one at the senior level.
Dylan is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), through the NSCA, along with recently completing Level 2 requirements with the Australian Strength & Conditioning Association. Dylan’s main interests in the field include acute and chronic training load, fatigue monitoring and overtraining and sprint analysis.
Currently, Dylan works on an ongoing basis with track and field athletes but also consults with various sporting teams specific to long term athletic development and speed development.
