456 High Street, VIC Preston. DEXTER MEAT & BUNS is a no rules approach to American BBQ brought to you by Adam Goldblatt, Sam and Tom Peasnell. The new meatery will feature the best meat and treat it the right way. Chefs Tom (Pitt Cue Co, London) and Adam (Homeslice, London) pay homage to the low and slow traditions of American BBQ utilising smoking, chargrill techniques and pair this with flavours from Mexico, Asia, France and alike. The philosophy is a meat first approach, where a dish is formulated from the unique characteristics of the meat (or vegetable) for a truly unique meat experience. Think salted caramel ribs, hot meat donuts and pigs head buns.

Wed - Sun: Open for lunch, dinner, takeaway.
Lunch (bun menu): 12 - 3
Dinner 5 - Late.

We have just turned one and have been overwhelmed by the support of Preston and its surrounds. We have worked extremely hard, have a young motivated team of locals and an amazingly generous and fun customer base. POWER IS OUT! High street between wood and Murray is locked down due to what was apparently a planned upgrade along high street. We were notified at 10am this morning! We are equal parts angry and sorry that there will be no meat for lunch today!! Power should be back in time for dinner!!! PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. DEXTER IS CLOSED TONIGHT. We are closed tonight for our GOOD BEER WEEK event with hawkers, holgate, temple and 3ravens. We are matching some of their best beers with aged O'Connors premium steaks! We are flattered that this event sold out in 6 days.
