We are a Chinese restaurant located in the heart of Chinatown, serving authentic Cantonese Cuisine. We offer great service, food and ambience. Nine Dragons is situated in the heart of Sydney's Chinatown on Dixon Street and is an admirable Chinese restaurant that has been producing consistent fine quality food for over 30 years.

We first opened our doors in 1977 and was one of the first Chinese restaurants in Chinatown to serve Yum Cha, our success for the past 30 years has been attributed to our continual commitment to quality, consistency and service to our loyal patrons.

The name Nine Dragons is reflective of our success and is very fitting because both the number nine and dragons have special significance in Chinese culture, as the dragon is a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. Throughout China's history, the Emperor of China has used the dragon as a symbol of his imperial power and strength.

The number nine also carries a significant meaning in Chinese culture, as it is the largest possible single digit, and is considered to be an extremely lucky number, it is a symbol of eternity and longevity.

So it is our pleasure to invite you to dine with us at Nine Dragons Restaurant and wishing everyone a healthy, wealthy and long life.
