Description
Clive Munzberg Physiotherapy is a general private physiotherapy clinic in Port Pirie, special interest in caring for the sporting, active person. “I didn’t know you did that” or “I should have come here earlier” are phrases I often hear and is the reason behind us having a Facebook page and regular posts. Everyone knows about the work physios do with neck and back issues but at Clive Munzberg Physiotherapy there is so much more we do. With over 27 years experience working in both private, public sectors gained a lot of knowledge, assessment and treatment skills
Our primary goal is to provide a high quality individualised physiotherapy service to our clients with the focus on meeting your needs. My motto is to keep people doing what the like, playing sport, working, gardening, keeping active whatever is your goal. We will do whatever is required to help our clients to better health and quality of life. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all clients and to work with you to achieve the best possible outcome, in the shortest time.
All treatments are based on the most up-to-date research and techniques. I keep abreast through continual learning and study whether that is reviewing journals, accessing online training programs, podcasts, courses etc.
Work with clients from kids to our aged mature clients. Currently run an exercise program filled with 85 to 90 year olds whilst some other programs work with some of our local elite sports people. Just as happy work with school kids to help keep them active.
We get a buzz out of clients improving and share in clients successes whether that is returning to play, work or just simple tasks like washing your hair for the first time in a long time.
Special interest in lower limb acute injuries and shoulders including rehab, often those injuries suffered in peoples active sporting pursuits. Our state of art well equipped gym, equal to anything you’ll find anywhere, is designed to comprehensively rehab lower limb and shoulder conditions from ACL reconstructions, joint replacement to shoulder surgery and impingement.
As well as this we will continuously strives to return every client to the pain-free level of comfort to which they are accustomed.
We will not only address the problem you came to see us with but often to stay pain free and active we are able to identify other areas that you can work on, thus you will be in peak condition. Another motto of mine is that following a rehab program you are a better athlete than you were before your injury.
Our clinic has alight hearted atmosphere, we aim to get the job done with a smile and some chuckles along the way.

WORK OFF THE CHRISTMAS PARTYING Try this range of different exercises to do these holidays. Here are 48 that you could add into your daily program.
DO I REALLY NEED AN XRAY? Often with a good accurate assessment if your injury we can determine what’s going on without waiting for other tests. At times it is necessary to check for fractures but most times this can be determined during our assessment process. If you have an acute injury and need to get in quick, ring and let Jodie or Nadinne to know what’s going on so we can get you going as soon as possible.

Basketball at its best returns to Pirie this Saturday night, when the Port Pirie Panthers take on the Woodville Warriors, a club that plays in the Premier League competition in Adelaide. The night promises to be one of the more exciting nights seen at Donaldson Stadium in years. The mens team will feature all of the MVP winners from the past few years, Lyall Gillett, Jordan Fuller, Austin Munzberg and Lachlan Knibbs. This is the first time these players will play on the same team. Lyall who has been Pirie’s best for the past few years, previous played for Woodville with now superstar Joe Ingils. He is major assets for the Panthers and can deliver at both ends of the court. Jordan Fuller’s ability to shoot the three ball is almost Jerome Randle like. He doesn't worry where the three line is he just shoots with a very high percentage. Austin Munzberg will be making a comeback to the Panthers program after injuring his knee in 2015, a big year for Austin playing U20 State basketball and Premier League, then the injury. His enthusiasm is high after 12 months out. Dunks will be a feature of the night with half the mens team being able to throw it down at will. Leading this charge will be Lawson Munzberg who slammed three in a game earlier this year and Lachy Knibbs won’t be far behind. Both are young and exciting to watch. The questions is, can these two manufacture a game “Ally-oop”. The Panther mens and womens teams are a combination of youth and experience. This game may be one of the last times the Hoare brothers will play together in the Pirie side. Ryan soon to be a father of two is stepping down, Trent will continue and has been a long term servant of combined teams. Trent has won game like these in the past with his outside shot. Other players featuring in the mens team will be Maciej Jankowski who will provide great front court leadership. He teaches all week at John Pirie and will be hoping to hand out another lesson this Saturday night. This team will hope to build on their success at last years Country Champs finishing second albeit with a slightly different combination. An interesting side note to this game is Scott Whitmore the coach of the Woodville Warriors team is also the SA Sate U20 coach, a team this year Lachlan Knibbs tried out for and got through to the last round before finally making reserve, a great achievement in itself. Feedback to Lachy was that Scott didn't know much about him but he will by the end of Saturday night. Woodville Warriors team will also be young and old with the feature player being Ryan Franceschinis, a 200 plus Premier League veteran. The rest will be younger lads, keen to impress their coach leading up to the 2017 Premier League season. Travis Ley will be coaching the womens side and is still to finalise his team but has veterans Andrea Tyler, Kate Kilpatrick and Kayla Hayes secured for the game along side young guns Maggie Peterson, Merina Caputo, Gracie Peterson, Jordan Afford and Georgia-Rose Scarman. Coach Ley is looking forward to the hit out and says he has “a good mix of young up and coming talent with a few older heads to help them develop”. Sitting long side the womens coach will be long term local talent Jenna Jankowski as assistant coach. “She will be awesome, having played basketball at a higher level and will be able to pass that onto the young girls”. Action starts with junior games at 4:30 and the women hit to floor at 6:30 followed by the men at 8 pm. The night will follow by the usual supper and disco and are give aways for kids throughout the night with the popular “Free Throw” shoot out. The stadium has full bar and canteen. The best local basketball will be guaranteed and some the best talents in country SA will highlight the big crowd.

LOOKING FOR A MOON BOOT? You can BUY one at the clinic for $99 so don't go searching around Pirie for these as we supply and fit them all the time If you have a fracture of the foot or ankle, it will prevent movement and reduce stress applied to the fractured bone during healing by taking partial weight off the foot and ankle
Well done to Nadinne Knibbs, today is her second year working with us. She is a great worker and a beautiful person. The things she has to do to put her kid through uni, anyway lucky for us.

Light up at night Road rules state you need a white front light and a rear red light showing anytime you ride in low light. The essential lights for bikes are flashing LED units that show others you are there. Note: They are not to help you see like headlights. Lights come with a bracket to attach to your handlebars, seat post or bike frame. Get what you need this weekend, it might be dark when you ride home. Only 5 days to go!
