A sequence of 4 photos of a koala climbing along a branch - taken by Tony Arnold some time ago - notice that the koalas at Mikkira all seem to have this brown fur on their backs - quite different to koalas in other places that tend to be more grey.

This old stone chimney has been patched up to show that it was once part of a building used for the catering of the many seasonal workers that came to muster and clip the sheep wool when Mikkira was part of a much larger pastoral run in the 1800s. The large stone wall yard was used to keep the sheep in.

This photo shows the amenities block (2 flush toilets and one hot shower) behind the remains of the stone wall sheep yards where a shearing shed was. It also shows where to walk (preferably) to see the restored 1840s homestead. There are koalas living in the trees. Please beware that there are also poisonous snakes living in the stone walling and old wells. Photo by Take2 Photography Bazz and Fran
