Remote & Isolated Children's Exercise, incorporating Outback Childcare.
Description
Remote & Isolated Childrens Exercise, otherwise known as RICE provides health, welfare, pre-school education, child-care, resources and play experiences to rural and remote families living in outback South Australia. The 'Remote and Isolated Children's Exercise' page is designed to spread the word of this fantastic organisation. It is hoped that people will 'like' and share with friends, allowing RICE to reach an audience far and wide. It is hoped that by raising our profile we may gain the support of other companies and organisations to be able to grow and better what is already a one of a kind service to our states remote families. RICE also have a 'friends' page and 'current member's' page which we would still liked to be used for any correspondances between members and so forth. This page will be more for promoting upcoming events to everyone who 'likes' us, reminders of services available, and just the general "going's" on at RICE. Please pass the word around!

MEDIA RELEASE Remote and Isolated Children’s Exercise – 40th Anniversary Remote and Isolated Children’s Exercise (better known as RICE) has been providing quality early childhood education, health, welfare and childcare services to South Australia’s outback community for the past 40 years. The service was established in 1976. Continuing today, it’s programs cover an enormous 655,000 square kilometres providing valuable support for outback families. “The service that we provide to families today are very similar to the services that were first provided 40 years ago,” Executive Officer Rob Kay said. “To think that hundreds of children living in remote South Australia have discovered a new world of play and learning makes us extremely proud to be celebrating our 40-year history.” On Saturday 10 December, past and present families, staff and supporters will be among those celebrating the 40th Anniversary of RICE. A Family Fun day will offer activities for families to celebrate the milestone including face-painting, bouncy castles and plenty of games for the kids. The Gala Dinner will feature photographs and memorabilia from RICE’s 40-year history, live music with John O’Dea and Gary Mannion and guest speaker, author and photographer Fiona Lake.
