Outback Communities Authority
Description
The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) is responsible for the management and local governance of the unincorporated areas of Outback South Australia. The Outback Communities Authority (OCA) is responsible for the management and local governance of 63% of South Australia’s land mass and operates as the voice for people living and working in outback communities.
As a hybrid between local government and community self-management, the OCA works to manage the provision of, and promote improvements in, public services and facilities for outback communities.
The OCA is the voice of the outback, articulating the views, interests and aspirations of its communities.
The OCA is governed by the OCA Board, supported by staff in the areas of management, corporate and community services.
