The Art of Banksy: Exhibition

'The Art of Banksy' Exhibition has a special offer for Monash students: More than 80 works will be on display, presenting the largest collection of Banksy artwork to ever draw upon Australia, including the iconic ‘Girl with Balloon’, ‘Flag wall’ and ‘Laugh Now’ pieces. This will be the most unique art event to hit our shores and showcase the mysterious street artist known as Banksy, who has now become one of the biggest contemporary artists of our generation. The Railyard outdoor area and Circle Bar will be open every day to the public, a perfect place for a post exam beer! The exhibition will open on Friday 7 October at The Paddock, Federation Square, and will run until Sunday 22 January 2017. Hellooooo everyone, we hope you all are having a productive SWOTVAC! Exams are approaching – and we know some of you are pulling long study hours around campus. Just a few reminders from the Faculty to ensure we maintain a safe campus at this time: · Campus shutdown is at 6pm, after which you are only permitted in the library, computer lab G.05 and the Building 404 foyer · Apart from the bathrooms, no one is allowed in the Scott Building after 6pm · During the exam period, the library is open until 7pm, and 5:45pm on Fridays. We will have our SUPER WOMAN, Megan running a basic workshop on bicycle care, how to change your tire and to top it off, we will be having a sausage sizzle! Hello everyone! You may have noticed a yellow sign in the cafeteria saying "The Pantry". We'll be filling this drawer with some food, snacks and tea for us night-owls that stay back at uni after-hours. You can access the building by going to the first floor of the Manning Building (Library building) via the stairs and walking towards the PPS rooms from there. Please only take what you need. Sharing is caring! *All food is eaten at the risk of the consumer. MPSU will not be liable for any damages.

Hello everyone, hope you've all had a wonderful weekend! Tomorrow morning we'll be hosting a pancake breakfast for White Ribbon Day. For those of you who do not know what White Ribbon Day is for, it is a charity aimed at raising awareness about domestic abuse, in an effort to encourage victims to speak up. This is an incredibly important issue, and we urge everyone to come and show their support for zero tolerance of domestic abuse. We welcome all donation and encourage everyone to come grab some pancakes! Here's to working towards a society of 0 tolerance and 100% support. MPSU XOXO
