The Proper Way to Lock Your Bicycle
Dear friends, Recently (and sadly) there has been an increase in D-Locks being cut on campus. Unfortunately there is not much we can do besides having less attractive bikes or using more locks, but either way persistent thieves can still get your bike. From what we know, the D-Locks were likely cut after dark and in area's that are not so well trafficked. We recommend NOT using the car park under South Lawn and the bike parking area on Tin Alley behind Union House after hours. Also, make sure you use proper lock technique - we highly recommend a D-Lock on your rear wheel and frame and also another type of lock through your front wheel and frame. Have a read of the attached article and keep riding! Tom http://lifehacker.com/5942301/the-proper-way-to-lock-your-bicycle
