Last week we introduced a new family member. The sweet little Corby - a puppy, who has stolen our hearts already. I have found us all smiling more, and laughing often. It made me think about how important it is to include love and laughter in our lives. But there is a real difference between 'giving' all of ourselves, versus providing love and support. If we sacrifice ourselves for the benefit of others, and leave ourselves an empty vessel, everyone suffers. Many clients find that, when they focus on their own needs and happiness first, their life seems to fall back into place. What is more interesting is that, not only does it improve their own issues, but it also seems to improve things for those around them. Ensure you love yourself first. Then give others what you can, rather than what you think they need or expect. There is nothing more important that you can do for your friends and family than actually learning to love and care for yourself first. What better example can we possibly provide?
