Councils and government should really prioritise the states fire preparedness when all the indicators predict a bad season.

Part of our policy includes the introduction of gunsmithing at Tafe. Do you think this is a good idea?
On track but off map
This typo is why we keep saying the Government forgets that Victoria exists outside of the M80
Will free wifi trial on Sydney buses put your privacy at risk?
Suddenly the greens care about personal information and privacy. Which is strange, considering they made it public information what suburbs have the most amount of firearms in them. Just another reason to scrap the registries and put the money back into policing. http://mobile.abc.net.au/news/2017-01-08/sydney-buses-wifi-trial-puts-commuter-privacy-at-risk-greens-say/8168714?pfmredir=sm

In light of the AMA's recent position on firearms I feel obliged to put this up, for an evidence based medical organization to not research a topic but claim to have a major stake in the matter is diabolical. It reeks of elitism and is misleading to the general public, many thousands of people are injured or killed on the roads, figures are around 18,000 deaths to "medical misadventure". Yet the AMA would call LAFO's a 'problem". The Victorian Labor Government will be introducing a bill to legalise euthanasia later this year. Unlike the AMA our 2 MP's are going to RESEARCH and get an UNDERSTANDING of both sides of the debate before the conscience vote comes before the Upper house. Ethan- Branch Chairman
Jeffrey Bourman MP
Jeffrey Bourman MP on the AMA's policy statement yesterday. It seems that they've have taken a page right from the anti-brigade. Medicine is based on facts, so should firearm policy. Shameful.
Duck hunting season to go-ahead
On cue the anti's have come out complaining about the LEGISLATED duck hunting season. It was so nice of the Herald Sun to promote AA and their best friends the RSPCA and we look forward to hearing all the lies of AA and CADS. Even though it was recently proven that the animal extremists from AA willingly broke the law by trespassing onto properties for the purpose of seeking footage. I'm sure that the RSPCA will want to exercise caution after SFFP MP Jeffrey Bourman MP received support for a parliamentary inquiry into the RSPCA. Even their own initiated review stated that the RSPCA should focus less on activism.
2017 Duck Season Announced
it has taken longer than necessary but the Victorian Government has finally announced the arrangements for the 2017 Duck season. The season will run from 18 March to 12 June with a 10 bird daily limit. The hunting of the Blue-winged Shoveler, however, will be prohibited due to the low numbers of the species. It is interesting to note that if the Government had not made an announcement the season would go ahead. it's actually enshrined in legislation and it's up to the government to modify the season every year if needed. http://www.premier.vic.gov.au/2017-duck-season-announced/

Like many of the policies implemented by the Andrews Labor Government, this hopefully is the last of a year of failures (not counting todays failure of youth justice) http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/breaking-news/new-vic-desalination-plant-breaks-down/news-story/606f81a22dd324f200fcf3e1e91b6bd2
