The current Executive of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival Inc wish to advise that they are the sole administrators to the rights, name and official images relating to the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival Inc. The current Executive remains the only legal entity, under the auspices of the Office of Fair Trading and Corporations Act, with which any official business relating to the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival should be conducted. Recently there have been misguided and illegal attempts by unauthorised persons to use the registered name of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival Inc to prosecute false claims against the current legally valid Executive. While the cancellation of this years (2017) Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival is regrettable, it is however necessary at this time. The fact that the decision was made by the Executive in private settings and not in the ridiculous public domain of facebook, is entirely at the discretion of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival Executive. The recent actions of a group of non authorised individuals is regrettable, however acting in this way only damages the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festal brand in the eyes of the public and this is very unfortunate for the community of Maryborough. This notification is not up for discussion, and all comments on this page is monitored by the Administration and Executive of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival Inc. Any offensive comments against the Executive or the Organisation will be documented for legal processes and then removed. We are not at liberty to discuss at this present time the festivals official business, as we are undergoing extensive audits as per normal business procedures, and formulating legal representation. Dear Supporters of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival, family and friends. The last 2 years our festival has been successfully organised by a dedicated team of volunteers and since having a well earned break from the busy tasks of organising such a large event, its time to give an update on the festival for 2017. Unfortunately it is not a positive one. While we have been busy in the background trying to secure fabulous acts/bands etc for the festival this year, sadly we as a small committee of volunteers have come to the decision that as we have limited time due to full time jobs, as well as additional helpers and supporters to assist in the continuing success of such an event, leaves us with little choice but to place the festival on hold until further notice. We would like to thank all the great folk who have supported and assisted with the success of the Rockin Maryborough Vintage Festival over the past 2 years. We thank Bruce Saunders MP, Councillor Daniel Sanderson, FCTourism and Events Andrew Dower and Emily Milne for all their guidance and assistance, also to the local businesses, local clubs, additional committees and organisations that supported our vision, and to all our dedicated team of volunteers, we couldn't have done it without you all.
