Congratulations to our Year 2 class, who helped us understand the meaning and significance of the Feast of Pentecost at our Junior School's Monday morning liturgy last week. The girls celebrated 'the birthday of the Church' and the early Christian community with cake and song while they retold the story of the first Pentecost.

Talent and Loreto school spirit shone through as our Year 10 Rock Band participated in Battle of the Bands last Friday. Hosted by Rostrevor College Prefects, the event was as a way of bringing schools together to celebrate the start of Catholic Education Week. It was a non-competitive event with an emphasis of participation and celebrating our identity as Catholic schools. Congratulations to our band for their outstanding performance, to those who attended in support our girls and also to the Rostrevor College Prefects for hosting such a wonderful event!

We wish Loreto Old Scholar Cristina Tridente (06) all the very best as she prepares to showcase her latest collection at the Qingdao International Fashion Festival in China. We had the great pleasure of hosting the launch of the couture + love + madness Lady Camelia collection in our beautiful heritage gardens back in December. You can see Cristina pictured below at the launch with models in front of the Acacias. Good luck Cristina, we are truly proud of all of your achievements!

We are proud that our students have such a strong respect for our ANZAC legacy. Year 5 student, Mabel-Jean, attended the ANZAC Eve Mass on Sunday 24 April, and honoured our past veterans by placing a tribute on the steps of the War Memorial. We as a College community are deeply grateful for the sacrifice, and the continuing sacrifices, of our servicemen and women.
