facebook.comWOW, WOW, WOW! Go Immanuel's Primary School District Swimming Team - district champions after winning today's SCISSA District Primary School Swimming Carnival at SCGS. They won on percentage and overall points. Congratulations to all competitors but especially to our fantastic little swimmers, Mr Johnson, our supportive team of parents and School Champions Stanley J and Ruby W. Special thanks also to former Olympian Janelle Pallister of Janelle Pallister Swim School who operates out of ILC's pool. Janelle has done an awesome job coaching a number of our swimmers.

In news just in, Immanuel's swimmers are dominating in the relays at the Sunshine Coast Primary School District Swimming Carnival. Well done to all swimmers who are competing in today's event.
This week, our Beginner String Program and Year 5 Woodwind, Brass and Orchestral Percussion Program begins for students in Years 3 to 5. Please review the Instrumental Music timetables on SEQTA to check lesson times as we no longer print paper copies. The following ensembles rehearse for the first time this week as well. Each of the ensembles are associated with our two beginner programs. Students are asked to attend this first rehearsal - even if they haven’t yet had their first lesson - by the time of the rehearsal. - Beginner Band - Tuesday (10.50am - 11.35am, KM8) - Beginner String Ensemble 1 - Wednesday (10.50am - 11.35am, KM8) - Beginner String Ensemble 2 - Thursday (7.45am - 8.30am, KM8)
Our gorgeous Preppies were so excited to receive their bibles during chapel recently. Look at their beautiful smiling faces. :)
Congratulations to the many Immanuel students who today received Academic Blue or Gold Awards in recognition of their achievements in Semester 2, 2017. Their diligence and perseverance is an inspiration to all who strive to achieve their goals.
The 2018 Immanuel Arts Festival Committee is meeting next Wednesday, 14 February at 8.00am in the Ken Thamn Centre Library. The 38th Immanuel Arts Festival will exhibit and sell paintings, sculpture, photography, drawings, prints and quality crafts by local artists and students. If you would like to join this fun and enthusiastic committee, please come along to the meeting or email Convenor Melissa Evans at E: artsfestival@immanuel.qld.edu.au. We love to have new members and look forward to your contribution in making the festival a success!
Mathematics Workshop Mathematics tutorials have commenced again on a Thursday afternoon from 3.15pm to 4.15pm in B5/6 and are open to all students in Years 7 to 12. At least two mathematics teachers will be available to tutor students who require additional help with their work, or who wish to extend their mathematical thinking. No costs are involved and students may attend each week or as a need arises. Students may also approach staff before school and during lunch breaks if assistance is required.
Prep 2019 Enrolments Registrar Mrs Irene Dabinet has advised that Prep 2019 places are filling fast. Should you wish to enrol your child in Prep at the College, please download and complete an enrolment application from the College website, or email Mrs Dabinet at E: enrolments@immanuel.qld.edu.au to obtain an enrolment package. Parents are reminded that there is no automatic entry into the College from Immanuel ELC and all new and existing families are required to submit an application for entry to Immanuel Lutheran College.
