It's just over one year since the legendary David Bowie passed away. To mark the occasion this week at Sound's and Share plates on Sunday at maestro & co one of our resident musicians Mitch Hertz will play a set of Bowie songs in tribute to the great man. All you Bowie fans shouldn't miss the chance to enjoy a few sundowners, some delicious Middle Eastern tapas and sing along to timeless classics like Space Oddity (Major Tom to ground control), Modern Love, Ashes to Ashes, Starman, Under Pressure and more. After a short break for the public holidays Sounds and Share Plates will resume at Maestro & Co this Sunday and every Sunday in January with live music from 5.00pm. This week don't miss one of our resident musos former Northern Beaches local the very talented Mitch Lanham as he belts out classic covers from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Enjoy a few Sunday Sundowners accompanied by some or very tasty tapas style dishes from our recently launch summer menu as you tap your feet, sing along or even dance up a storm. It's a hot one today and things are heating up in the kitchen at maestro & co with a delicious new dessert on our specials board and an old favourite from our menu reinvented. It's Christmas week at maestro & co and we've got plenty of tasty new delights in our Santa Sack courtesy of our very talented Head Chef Ben El Fahim. Ben joined us from Afous at the Spit just over two weeks ago and his new additions to our menu plus the reinvention of some of our favourites are going down a treat with our guests. Yes it’s one year since we took over our premises at 50 East Esplanade Manly and embarked on an exciting adventure to bring Middle Eastern cuisine to Manly for the first time. And our first birthday coincides with the appointment of our new Head Chef Bouazza (Ben) El Fahim. Formerly of Afous at The Spit and the now defunct Alhambra we are delighted to welcome Ben to the maestro kitchen team. He joins Andrew Glendennan who has been with us since May and has done a great job over the past few months keeping maestro’s mouth watering share plates churning for our loyal regular customers and a whole host of new ones. To mark the occasion we are very pleased to be launching our new summer menu featuring some familiar favourites and some delicious new additions.
