Well done to the APC-WHS who with colleagues from Japan recently attended the International Congress of Behavioral Medicine Melbourne, and gave a joint symposium as part of the Asia Pacific Academy for Psychosocial Factors at Work. Harry and Mikaela gave very impressive presentations on their PhD research which involved predicting future cardiovascular risk, psychological health and engagement from Psychosocial Safety Climate and policy implications. Mindfulness and Employee Wellbeing: Seeking Participants Take part in a mindfulness training program and contribute to exciting research investigating mindfulness and wellbeing in the workplace. Participants go into the running to win one of three prizes: $200 Myer gift card, $50 Myer gift card or $30 Myer gift card. Participation involves completing a short questionnaire and daily diary (i.e., a very short survey) on 10 workdays and taking part in a mindfulness self-directed training program, consisting of 15 minutes of mindfulness practice on 10 workdays guided by a manual and audio recordings. If you are over the age of 18, residing in Australia, currently working 30 hours or more a week and not currently engaged in mindfulness training, you are eligible to take part in this research project.
