The time has come for me to say goodbye to LEAH and all my amazing clients and their pets. To my grooming clients, I can't thank you enough! You brought your much loved dogs to me, a newly trained groomer, and you trusted me to take care of them and do a good job, and I believe we came out with some great grooms! Over the last 2 and a half years your support has meant so much, I'm really going to miss you and your dogs! To my nursing clients, another big thanks! I get to see a lot more of our clients when I'm nursing, and that has been a big highlight! It's been a pleasure to get to chat and get to know you and your pets. Nursing is a real mixed bag, you get to do a whole range of different things, there are really happy and fun moments and some sad and challenging ones too. I have got to meet so many wonderful pets and had to say goodbye to some really special ones too. Thank you for sharing your pets lives with me. - Lauren

On a bit of a sad note, we'd like to let all our clients but especially those who visit us for grooming, that Lauren is leaving us to move to Melbourne next year. The details are still getting finalised, but we will be continuing grooming in 2017. "I'll be finishing up just before Christmas and then heading overseas for a month before moving to Melbourne. I'm looking forward to seeing all my wonderful dogs and giving them one last groom this month, before handing the reins over to Michelle and Briony" - Lauren

Ralph.. Ralph is a very sweet 2 year old Labradoodle who was quickly brought into the clinic after he ate a Toadfish. Toadfish are very poisonous and can be fatal. We quickly induced vomiting and Ralph luckily vomited up the entire fish. Unfortunately this isn't Ralphs first run in with seafood, last year he decided a pufferfish would be an ideal meal, that also resulted in a trip to the vets. We're hoping Ralph has learnt his lesson this time.

Tiffany - Snake Bite... Tiff is a 1 year old DSH who was brought into the clinic last Monday after being missing for 2 days. Upon her return Tiffany was very unwell, she was extremely weak, had labored breathing and wouldn't accept any food or water. Blood tests confirmed our suspicions of a snake bite. A healthy cats CK level is between 50-300, Tiffany's CK level was over 20,000! That's well over 70 times the normal level!!! Tiffany was immediately given antivenom and fluid therapy. She started a slow recovery in hospital, but after 8 days in our care her CK level came down to 600 and she was allowed to go home. Tiffy is very lucky to have a very dedicated and loving owner who came to visit her everyday and will continue to care for her while she recovers at home. We will miss Tiffany's affection and smooches but are very happy to see her able to go home.
