Paul makes fine furniture, supplies the building trade with balustrades and newel posts, turns the occasional small job and makes a very fine bowl. Restoration work, turned table legs and hand carving when needed, Paul has developed his skills through a wide range of woodturning and woodworking jobs and his willingness to help his clients get what they want without compromising high standards of workmanship.

He is a regular contributor to ACE courses, running one day workshops in basic and advanced turning and tool sharpening and also provides private tuition to those who want intensive instruction. He is often invited to demonstrate and teach at workshops and conferences for woodturning associations.

Paul also creates sculptural bowls, turned and carved, that he exhibits through galleries around Australia.

Paul is a popular exhibitor and has participated in a variety of group and special event exhibitions during his career. His first Solo exhibition, held at The Forest Gallery , Bateman's Bay in 1990,  recognised the versatility and promise of his earlier work. He has been an exhibiting member of the Woodworker’s Association of NSW for 20 years. He has participated in major exhibitions with the association such as Hands On  in 1991 at the State Library, Sydney. In 1991 he and was a winner in the Northern Territory Craft Acquisition Award.

Early in 1993 Paul was invited by Michael Hosaluk (Canada) to participate in a review exhibition of Hosaluk's work by decorating a bowl Michael had turned. 'For Tomorrow' was Paul's second major exhibition with the Woodworkers Association of New South Wales. He contributed to the 'Wood Dreaming' exhibition in Brisbane and 'Designs' at Art and Design Gallery, Brisbane. In 1997 he won the Wood section of the Caloundra Art prize and in May 1999 Paul was invited to judge the 25th anniversary of the Alice Springs Craft Acquisition Award.
