#23 Brimbank parkrun Nothing like showing up to a locked gate as a perfect start to a parkrun, but after our friendly rangers opened the park, we had another great turn out for a fabulous parkrun. Congratulations to the 34 runners and walkers who completed the course, and special thanks to John McCall - first across the line, and then helped out taking photos! Thank you to our volunteers this week, Laura ASTON, Julie KENNEDY and first time run director Stuart BOAK.
Photos supplied courtesy of John McCall, after being first across the line became this week's photographer. Thank you, John!
Hey parkrunners! We still need you for running, walking or volunteering at Brimbank parkrun. Please be part of this “beautiful free community event”. See you on Sat. Thanks
We didn’t have an official photographer today but Max who was on finish tokens managed to get a few shots. Thanks Max
It was a hot one today, and congratulations to the 38 SUPERSTARS who ran/walked the course today😅. A big thanks to everyone for singing happy birthday to Miranda who is celebrating her 7th birthday today 👏👏🎂🎉 . The results have been processed and should be in your in boxes now. Also a massive thanks to our volunteers today Craig ROBINSON • Diana WATSON • Kate BOND • Maxime SZYLVESTER • Sean HILL. We had a slight hiccup with a sign falling in the wind and unfortunately the person who was in 1st place ended up running about 7km, Mathew Beaman please return soon, as I'm sure you'll give the course record a solid nudge. Stay cool and continue to have a great weekend, you've started it in the best way possible already.😁 Regards (your fill in run director for the day) Craig.
There are water fountains at the finish line too. See you there at 7:50 for a prompt 8am start. don't forget your barcode....
Pictured are Sean and Max, together they have ran an impressive 326 parkrun's and completed every one throughout Victoria, (163 each.) If you'd like to meet this pair of parkrun Statesmen, head to Brimbank on Saturday at 7:50 where this dynamic duo are Timekeeping and Token Scanning/Sorting. They are always good for a chat and freely talk about what runs they have done throughout Victoria and in the other states they have been. We are truly privileged to have these parkrun specialists volunteering for our first run for 2018 at Brimbank We are still after a Marshal for Saturday, if you are up for it please let us know.
