The Taste of Tasmania
Description
Hobart's Waterfront Celebration takes place from 28 December until 3 January every year. For seven days and nights between 28 December 2013 and 3 January, Hobart’s waterfront is transformed into a display of colour and life as The Taste of Tasmania ignites the historic Sullivans Cove precinct: showcasing the uniqueness and diversity of Tasmania’s produce and gourmet food and wine to approximately 300,000 people.

You can catch the Salamanca Market shuttle bus to the Taste from any of seven city centre locations. The shuttle operates on a continuous loop every day of the event (28 December – 3 January) between 10.30 am and 11 pm. Park in one of the three City of Hobart multi-storey car parks and hop on the FREE shuttle. Car park opening times vary and fees apply. You can check the route by visiting www.thetasteoftasmania.com.au/about-the-taste-of-tasmania Please note that this service REPLACES the usual park-and-ride service from the Regatta Grounds, which couldn’t go ahead this year because the circus has come to town. Also, road closures are in place today until 5 January on Castray Esplanade, Morrison Street and the Murray St—Morrison Street intersections. Happy Boxing Day from the Taste team. #thetaste #discovertasmania #tassiestyle #thisistassie

When you arrive at the event, pick up a copy of the Tasting Trail brochure from the information booth. Using the brochure and stall signage as a guide, simply name a stallholder and a dish OR drink from each of Tassie’s four regions and you’ll go into the draw.
