Humpback whales visit Hervey Bay on their southern migration staying in the calm waters between mid July &early November. They are the most playful of the great whales. Quick Cat II

Hervey Bay’s most awarded whale watch vessel, Quick Cat II was launched in 2003 and is owned and operated by the pioneers of the whale watch industry Brian and Jill Perry who operated the first whale watch cruise on 1st September 1987. Quick Cat II is the only vessel that offers full wheelchair and pram access around the entire main deck including the bow (front of vessel).

Quick Cat II offers half day cruises during the whale watch season mid July till end October.

Quick Cat II crew are locals who know the area and have many great stories to tell. A DVD is done on each cruise which can be purchased on board on the way home and available before you step off the vessel. All children receive a FREE activity book with games, puzzles and a colouring competition.

Morning cruise departs 7am and travels via Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island to collect guests.
Breakfast of cereals, yogurt, fruit, donuts and pancakes is included FREE.
Quick Cat II is also famous for the morning tea of home made muffins baked by the Perry’s every day, danishes, anzac biscuits and gluten free cookies. Quick Cat II offers guests the opportunity to hop off on Fraser Island for the afternoon with an EXCLUSIVE “Superpass 1” and enjoy lunch at the Sand Bar with the option to take a half day tour to Lake Mackenzie, Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek, the prettiest spots on world heritage listed Fraser Island.

The cruise returns to the harbour at 12.30pm.

Afternoon cruise departs 1pm and includes lunch of assorted fresh bread rolls, gluten free wraps, cold meats, salads and sushi from “sushi to you”. Afternoon tea is also home made muffins, danishes, anzac biscuits and gluten free cookies.
The cruise returns to the harbour at 5pm.
