The Blue Danube - Candice Buchanan
Watching my daughter rehearse Strauss’s Blue Danube brought back memories of when I was her age, shopping at Foy’s in Melbourne with mum who bought me a white jacket, white shirt, black bow tie and black trousers. It was around Christmas time as there was a giant Santa on the building with a moving finger inviting shoppers into the store. I wore this outfit to a New Years Eve ball at the Earls Court Ballroom and remember mum and dad and maybe a couple of hundred other couples waltzing around the floor to this music. Please enjoy and feel free to take a waltz through time.
