Tintinara volunteer Naomi (far left): “A friend asked me to jump on board as an on-road volunteer and I thought why not! I was worried I wouldn’t have the time, but somehow I’ve found the time. Even if you think you only have a few spare hours a week, just come and have a chat with us. The skills I have learned mean I can provide a service to my community wherever I am.” Learn about how we can fit volunteering around your life, come to the Tintinara open day, Friday 6 January 4:30pm-7:30pm (Helling Terrace, Tintinara).

On the 11th day of Christmas, the ambos gave to me... 2 new stations! Oakden and Noarlunga now boast brand new, state of the art ambulance stations. A June opening saw the $3.6 million Oakden station become operational. The $5.3 million Noarlunga ambulance station, which was expanded to allow for additional staff as part of Transforming Health, became fully operational in September.

On the tenth day of Christmas, the ambos gave to me... 3 MedSTAR heroes! In the last year alone, SAAS’s MedSTAR nurses, doctors and paramedics conducted a whopping 2,840 retrieval missions, providing expert care to crucially ill and injured patients throughout South Australia. This includes a SAAS MedSTAR Kids service dedicated to providing care for critically ill and injured babies and children.
