What an awsome end to 2016 for Natasha & Norika. In the physiological tests both girls smashing their previous lifts by kilos. Norika with 110kg squat. Natasha with 60kg dead lift. Both with 8kg weighted chins for reps. Less than a year ago they both struggled on just 3 reps. Love working with these players. So looking forward to 2017 and watching how they improve. 2020 & 2022 will be interesting to see how they turn out. Have a great xmas & new year everyone.

We had a nice surprise vist to train with us on Tuesday night. Rory Effie. Getting a big hug from some of the gang. Missing for to many weeks now is Harry Cauley and Clinton Venn. Get ur arse back on track. The longer you leave it the harder it is to convince yourself you want the fix.

I have one weakness (apple pie) and Dave Allan found me out much to my delight. He arrived for morning tea with this large slice for me after his wins in the pan Pac's yesterday. Thank you muchly Dave. I am just about to demolish some of it now.

Great to have Sebastan back on the mat with his club mates Natasha & Norika. Even though it's light stuff and technical development. That's always needed. You just can't beat his energy to learn and try hard.

Tonight we had the great pleasure of having Morgan 5th Dan & Patrica Girardeau from France attend our training session. It was such a pleasure to receive them. Morgan not only took part in every randori but also helped players to further their development. I managed to get a few hours with Morgan & Patrica and talk stories about judo around the world. Wow, i miss this level of discussion and expertise. Such nice judo and fantastic people. Wish I had more time to talk with them. Photo 1 the BJI guys with Morgan. Photo 2 Morgan & I. Photo 3 Morgan showing Norika her weakness a few times. Thank you guys.

Norika blasted PB's in all her major lifts tonight and we still have 4 weeks to go before next set of tests. Squats up by 17%. Front press up by 20%. Bench press up by 10%. As for the endurance, that will be interesting.
