There was such a great response to the Furniture Painting Workshops yesterday that I've decided to run them on the first Saturday of every month. I'm taking bookings now for Saturday April 1st 10am-2pm and Saturday May 6th 10am-2pm. There are currently 4 spots still available in April and 6 in May. Costs are $150 (or $80 if you hold a current pension card) all inclusive - the only thing you'll be required to bring is a small piece of furniture to work on 😊 Please contact me through the MINT page or on 0499169871 to make a booking. PAINTING CLASSES are here! 🎨👏 Yes indeedy we are ready to rock and roll! First class to be held at MINT headquarters on Saturday March 4th from 10am-2pm. Cost is $150 ($80 if you hold a current pension card) this will include all materials (minus a small item of furniture that you will be asked to bring), excellent company, advice and some nibblies and tea/coffee 😊 Only 6 spots available so be sure to message me through the MINT page or contact me on 0499169871 to book in. Classes will be ongoing and I will advise further classes as interest is gauged. I'm SO excited!!!! 👏👏🤗🤗🤗

*** SOLD *** Capping off a crazy week with these two lovely bedside tables 😊 They've been finished in a pale blue and white. They've been given the antiqued treatment. I've replaced the hardware with antique brass lovelies. Drawers slide beautifully. They're very solid and in great condition. Dimensions are 550 width x 400 depth x 590 height. This Art Deco sideboard is for Lisa and Karl and I'm going to inundate you with pics and info about it. It was a beautiful and well kept piece before (see pic) but this transformation, for me, almost takes the cake of all transformations. The brief was to find an Art Deco sideboard - tick! - then make it modern and chic but keep it true to its era - tick! Every little detail was attended to, including these incredible authentic brass Art Deco handles that I sourced from some obscure place 😊 The two different types of timber are beautiful, the inlay (which is now gold) is spectacular, those double feet are gorgeous, the gold beading at the side, the flames!!! It's an incredible piece. FOR SALE Every time I run a competition I'm invariably asked to make something the same that will be available for purchase. I did it for the striped chair and I'm doing it again with the latest competition piece 😊 I did manage to find a table exactly the same as the last Queen Anne side table the only difference being this one has a slight defect in the back left hand side leg (see pic) - though it does not effect the structural integrity of the piece. It's been finished in navy and gold, it's dimensions are 560 width x 680 height x 380 depth and it can be purchased for $180 😊 Like and share and all that jazz. One sells (little pink and silver number 😍) and another swoops in to replace it :) New in the showroom this morning is this antique Queen Anne half moon table finished in red and metallic gold. And then there's this ... 😍 This was an undertaking and a half. Every part of the table and chairs is so detailed (and you know I can't leave the details alone!) that I almost don't know where to start with it. It has a hardwood parquetry top that I've highlighted with a dark stain to bring out the grain and also highlight the red. It has had alllllllllllll the treatment and then some - with my fav bronze gold highlights flickering through the table and each chair. The fabric of course ... well ... it's a tapestry full of beautiful and colourful flowers and birds and it all works so beautifully together. I almost want to insist on tours of this one because the photos just don't do it justice 😊 It's available for purchase for $2300.

Another addition to the new showroom is this gorgeous little Queen Anne side table. Bright pink and metallic silver (I do love my metallics 😊) with gorgeous gold tassels. She's an absolute cutie. She also has black and white lined drawers but I forgot to photograph them 🙃 She's available for purchase for $180. Like and share and all that jazz 😍

Sometimes you get a vision and you work away hoping it'll turn out how you see it in your head. And when it works, well ... it looks like this! I couldn't be happier with the result of this antique set of drawers. It's been hand painted and loved. It's unique and beautiful but it's retained its age and is relishing in it.
