None of my posts have been saved to my page. Praying this works. A thoroughly challenging sermon and study from week 3 of the Gospel shaped outreach. 'Who are we?' As a church, as people of God ? What is our priority? We shared a beautiful celebration of our own dear Lorna -90 last week- with a delicious morning tea. Recipes abounded as volunteer cooks scanned through them to choose what to cook for the International Dinner. A full morning with Jesus as our Focus.

Diaries opened…Date saved for the International Dinner ..yum! There will be no set cost for the meal but a donation box will be ready to receive what you would like to pay for the meal you eat and enjoy :-) It would be wonderful to fill the church hall for Naomi. Such an entertaining, passionate and informed speaker. Apologies for poor quality photo..doesn't do this beautiful lady justice.
Such busy times. It was heartening to see a number of our elderly church family members returned to good health and back with us to worship God. Fabulous service -really powerful scriptural teaching on the topic of week 2 of our study series 'Gospel Shaped Outreach.' "Who is Jesus?" Uplifting Choral piece from our great choir. Mission focus for February John and Kara Dekker and the children.Prayers for Kara as she tends to John and the children and awaits the birth of their third child & a revitalising for John as he presses on towards the completion of his PhD whilst being a father, husband and father in waiting! Sadly, a farewell morning tea for Charlie and Marion Kennedy, who having served The Presbyterian church in Ulverstone as Minister and then P/T in Devonport whilst waiting for God's timing in their move to Queensland. They will be so missed. The 'Week 2 study' after service and morning tea was a great catalyst for discussion and prayer. It is wonderful to see the numbers attending. Our prayers and thoughts went out to those suffering the vagaries of the weather. We have so much for which to be thankful.

Gospel Shaped Outreach- 9 week Series.
It was another Sprit filled message today. So challenging. Do we hear God's Word and DO what it says or are we merely listeners. At Devonport Don we are so blessed to have Andrew Satchell leading us in Truth. A great Mission spot from Val Warwick on the Dekkars and we pray that God will bring refreshment to them as John finishes his Phd and learns a new language and prepares for a new baby and a reurn to Vanuatu . We continue to pray for the work of MMM such a hands on ministry. We also remember Stephen Warwick who is recovering from the death of his mother. It is such a blessed assurance that we can hand all these thoughts and concerns to our Faithful and Almighty God.
