Born in Israel, Has been playing basketball since the age of five, averaging 23.3 PPG In high-school as starting point/shooting guard.
Coach Dan has over 16 years experience coaching a wide variety of age groups, working with kids and adults, boys and girls, beginners and professionals alike; in teams, small groups and individual formats.
Coach Dan emphasises on teaching, developing and improving fundamentals and physical athletic abilities which are necessary for basketball.
Currently living in Darwin NT, Australia, working with players and teams in different ages and levels:
Development coach at the Center Of Excellence- Basketball NT.
Personal Trainer for players in all ages and levels- beginners, intermediate and professional.
Coaching boys and girls in the Ansett BC.
Coach Dan: "Basketball is a team effort. I believe that it all begins with communication and matching expectations with the players I work with. Every player, or team, has different needs- personally and professionally. My job as a coach is to adjust and create each player a tailor made suit which will help him or her to be the best they can be."

Great night of basketball!!! 2 wins in 2 games!!! One as an assistant coach - Ansett league Men team upset Palmerston and finish on top of the ladder! Great team effort to finish up this the first part of the season! The second as a player - defeating the Eagles 48-58 with the Ansett Masters! Dropping 22 points 😀 and finish the season second place. Next week going to finals!!! Exciting times!!! Thank you guys!!! #coachdansivan

The NBA in the last few years took numbers and stats to a whole new level. I am not against stats at all because there are so many things that as a coach I can't notice during the game. However，let's not forget - it's not all about numbers! We need to teach our juniors that the team comes first! Teach them to help the team win and rather than teach them get a number on a paper...or better yet - teach them to understand what numbers are important and will help the team win! #coachdansivan

So excited and honored to be appointed as the NT under 16 bous state coach, second year in a row!!! Thank you BNT for giving me this opportunity to work with our state players and represent the NT in this year's Australian Junior Championship 2017 in July.

That's it...U16 Australian Junior Championship is finished. It was a long and busy week, the boys did great, worked hard and created a wonderful basketball family. It was a challenging week. It was amazing to see the level of basketball in Australia. It was awesome to stretch out my basketball knowledge - I learned a lot and I feel I am a better coach than before. Thank you Jill and Willie and Brandan for all the support and haed work throughout this week. Could not have done this without you. Thank you boys for listening and responding to my coaching. It was an honor to coach you all. Thank you Peter, Alexia and Peter for being open minded, sharing ideas and support when needed. Thank you Rod for the feedback and support in and out of the games.
