It was a disappointing result in both matches yesterday for the Redlegs out at Moorabbin. Our seniors have worked incredibly hard all pre-season and this isn't how we wanted to start. We'll take a few positives out of yesterday, however the biggest thing we learnt is that we can't afford to display that football again this season. The boys will review the footage, work out where it went wrong and move onto next week! It was a competitive initial first three quarters for the Reserves where we trailed by just 14 points at ¾ time. We lost composure early in the last and Moorabbin kicked away to take the 4 points. Ali Hussani made a terrific debut for the Redlegs whilst Jayme Le was outstanding in his first game of football. With our two netball teams and Thirds beginning their season next weekend, it'll be a big Saturday as we take on Mount Waverley. Stay tuned for match details later this week!

Seniors: We had the first scoring shot however Moorabbin slotted the first. They lead by 5 early in the first. Earlier in the day, our Reserves had a disappointing final quarter with the final losing margin 45 points.

It's a new season with a new look reserves team! Club stalwart Mick Lawrence makes his coaching debut whilst we have seven players making their debut for the Redlegs! Sun's out, sunscreen's out (as Deantime and Seags exhibits). It's a perfect day down at Moorabbin. Get down to watch. Reserves kick off in 15 minutes, scores to follow in the comments.

GAME DAY! How good is it knowing that footy's back for 2016?! We kick off our campaign today against Moorabbin! Reserves start at 12pm whilst our Seniors begin at 2pm. Everybody's been working long and hard over the summer and we're excited to display our new brand of footy. Good luck to all debutants tomorrow; we hope you pull on that red, blue and white guernsey with pride. Come down and support us as we look to start this season with a big win over the Kangaroos! Keep an eye out here for live scores throughout the day. #RedlegRedemption
