The Melbourne fair is on today 11.00pm to 6.00pm. Some great pieces here, just a few below. Dresses from Lena at Coutura Vintage, Circa Collectables - Art Deco and Mid Century, Chanel and Louis Vuitton from Artedeco, some amazing Sun Mirrors from Allpress Inc. and great antiques and decorative pieces from Ian Hadlow at Antique Decorative Art. There are 46 exhibitors here with thousands of items plus our great exhibition The Little Black Dress tracing the history from the creation by Chanel to Dior, Givenchy and many others. We are at the Caulfield Racecourse, free parking.

The fair opens at 11.00 this morning. A few of the thousands of pieces to buy and a glimpse of the Little Black Dress exhibition. Tickets at door. From Fossil Vintage, Demigod Prints, Ancanthe and Ming Fung. (we will be posting some more later !)

A few fantastic pieces being unpacked at the fair today. An Erte bronze and mirror from Allpress Inc. a great snake bracelet from Artedeco, an Art Deco clock from Deco Diva, and a rare Mahogany Apprentice miniature from Grange Antiques just a few items from the thousands here.. Fair opens 6.00pm tomorrow night and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Caulfield Racecourse www.themelbournefair.com.au for tickets or at the door.

At the fair a great exhibition telling the story of the Little Black Dress from Coco Chanel's conception in the 1920s to a great little dress by Gaultier in the 90s. This is a selling exhibition so you can purchase a piece to wear or collect. A Chanel piece.

A fabulous gown from Lena at Coutura Vintage, the property of legendary Hollywood Actress Vivienne Leigh. This wonderful piece with its tiny waist made in a luxurious amount of velvet would make a wonderful piece to add to a collection. And a dress from Paramount Studios worn by silent movie star Harriett Haddon in huge amounts of pink satin still with the original Paramount Studios wardrobe markings from Artedeco. Some of the wonderful vintage we will have at the fair everything from 20s through to vintage designer of the 1980s.
