We are a group of dedicated & elected volunteers whose aim is to improve business and the general community concerns within the TBBC area. A general meeting will be held every quarter & you are welcome to join us. Support your local chamber, we will be working hard for the prosperity of our local area and need your support, please join us. The suburbs that TBBC will include are; Wickham, Islington, Maryville, Tighes Hill & Carrington but business from outside these areas may join if they wish.

It is our endeavour to create a vibrant & diverse Throsby area and to be a business support organisation that represents, informs and connects the local business community.

Newcastle's cruise terminal plans take shape as first ship arrives for the year 2017 will be an exciting year for the region's tourism industry, as plans for the Port of Newcastle cruise terminal take shape and the community welcomes familiar cruise ships back to Newcastle. The first cruise ship of the year, the Silver Whisper, is due to arrive from New Zealand at 12 noon on Saturday 4th February. The 190 metre long vessel which carries 382 passengers is making its fourth visit to Newcastle since its maiden call in 2008. Record trade for Port of Newcastle great news for the Hunter A surge in coal and wheat exports has underpinned a new trade record for the Port of Newcastle, delivering another wave of bright economic news to the Hunter. Australia's third largest port handled just under 168 million tonnes in 2016 (trade value: $AU18.69 billion), an increase of 3.8 million tonnes on the previous year. And with further investment being made to grow trade, Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Crowe, is confident the Port of Newcastle will remain pivotal to the Hunter's economic success.
