Spring Hills FC
Description
Spring Hills FC provides quality coaching and player development for all age groups, girls and boys, from Under 6 through to Under 18 and Seniors. We are delighted in this opportunity in forming the first junior football (soccer) club for the surrounding areas of Caroline Springs, Hillside, Taylors Hill and Burnside. Our name, colours and logo were derived from the children in the local schools and the club has a strong sense of community involvement.
In fact, all of our committee members live in the local area and are committed in making the club a huge success.
In forming the club the committee’s main goals are:
* To develop and promote physical activity and positive social interactions for children, and to encourage them to be part of the community through playing the game of football (soccer).
* To help support the local community by encouraging increased involvement by residents, organisations and groups.
* To increase self-esteem and self-importance for children and as a consequence, reduce the likelihood of children participating in anti-social behaviour.

SPRING HILLS DOMINATE IN THEIR RETURN TO STATE LEAGUE 5 By: Jarrod Febbraio Photo: Courtesy of Kyneton District Upon being relegated last season, Spring Hills were out to make a statement in their first game back in State League 5; the league they won 2 years ago. The Stallions did just that, putting 7 past Kyneton District in a whopping 7-0 win at Barkly Square. Spring Hills dominated the early going hitting the post twice. The home team had a few chances themselves, but it was ultimately Spring Hills who would break the deadlock just after the half hour mark. A sizzling through ball from captain Dylan into the path of Jordan Mancini led to the midfielder putting the ball into the back of the net, easing off nerves that the Stallions had. This was quickly followed up by a goal from right back Blake and striker Halil, both on their debuts for the club. Spring Hills went into the halftime break up 3-0 and firmly in control of the game. The Stallions came out in the second half just as they had left off, sharing all the possession in their attacking half. The floodgates then opened with Dylan scoring 2 goals, as well as two from Blake who completed his hatrick. Undoubtedly Spring Hills could have had even more goals, testament to the keeper of Kyneton who kept the score-line as low as it was. Led at the back by Josip, the Stallions looked incredibly strong not allowing Kyneton to have anything their own way as they cruised to a comfortable 7-0 victory, just the way they would have wanted to start their season. Earlier, the reserves ensured a perfect day as they secured a 4-0 win themselves. Zac, Ryan, Charlie and Steven all got on the score sheet in a comfortable win. 11 goals scored and two clean sheets for Spring Hills on the day, they couldn’t ask for a better start to life in State League 5. They go on next week to host Laverton Park under the lights at Springside Reserve, a chance to make a statement on this league.
