On 14th November, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) hosted farewell celebration at the DFAT building. Myanmar Ambassador also attended the event. Then His Excellency also hosted celebratory dinner at his residence in the evening to congratulate ANUMSA members who are graduating with Australian Awards Scholarship.

Today our association warmly hosted a group of Myanmar students from Sydney Uni and UNSW who are invited to visit Canberra by Myanmar ambassador. During their day tour in Canberra, we got opportunities to greet and shows our hospitality by walking tour around the ANU campus and also key message speech by Dr. Nicholas Farrelly, Director of the Myanmar research centre. In addition, some PhD candidates who are doing their research related to Myanmar talked friendly to them. Sincere thanks to all members who presented personality and with the spirits even they can't come for their busy study schedule. It is a benchmark of our association to establish friendly relationship with the Sydney based Myanmar student groups. We were informed that they will establish formal association like us coming semester and will collaborate with us.
