Huge week.LOTS of day stay's this week....all with amazing results and happy families. Here is a message from one of my day stay client's this week, a few days into her plan. Baby would only nap in pram/car and would fight naps no end, naps in general were taking 40min to settle for a 30min nap unless mum kept pushing the pram. Now he sleeps in his cot, for longer then he ever did in a pram :)!!!

Most parents expectations of the first few months is that they will be sleep deprived. However, nobody can prepare you for the all consuming task of becoming a parent for the first time. Or how taxing it will be on you bringing a second baby home with a toddler running around! I am sure many of us have experienced sleep deprivation to the point of tears. For the first six weeks at least, the majority of parents are walking round like zombies, we know a newborn is going to take over our lives, we just don’t realize the extent to which this happens, to be so sleep deprived that 2 hours straight feels like a full nights sleep,. Nothing prepares you for that!. There is so much emphasis put on pregnancy, and planning for the birth, but nobody puts emphasis on the post partum period. You can optimize your newborn's sleep without the use of "sleep training". Get in touch if you need some guidance with your newborn, there are masses we can do.
