STEPS Charity is one of several organisations which form STEPS Group Australia (stepsgroup.com.au) and is focused on making a difference and building brighter futures by providing opportunity with locations all over Australia. The Group consists of STEPS Employment Solutions, STEPS Education & Training and STEPS Social & Community.
STEPS’ humble beginnings were sparked in 1989 when a group of parents of children with disabilities felt there wasn’t enough support in place to allow their children to achieve true independence.
Like all parents, that small group of mothers and fathers wanted nothing more than to see their children grow into happy, fulfilled people ready and able to take life by the horns, so they did something about it!
United in their passion STEPS was established, and almost 30 years on we’re still here working to empower people and create a positive impact in our communities.
