I have read that a lot of people think that being an "audiophile", we are possessed with listening to expensive equipment like cables costing more than a car and so forth. No doubt there are some out there doing that but the most majority of audiophiles don't do that. We however will spend a lot more time and money on software. To us, it is all about the music and it is correct to say that we tend to spend a bit of both time and money searching for a good recording. For music lovers who just entered the world of vinyl, please do not be attracted by stickers on records which states that the record is pressed on 180 grams vinyl. This doesn't mean a thing nowadays. Almost all records are pressed on 180 grams vinyl. It is the quality of the recording that counts. It is the result of the time and energy producers spent on creating that record. Even a 110 grams record will sound incredible if it is done properly. However with what is available to us nowadays, record companies will tend to lean towards a record of at least 180 grams. One should focus more on what really is important like who and where the record was mastered, what sources were used and where it was pressed? Economy of scale plays a large part in the life of a record. The more pressing the record producer produces the cheaper the record. So if version cost less, it normally means that they press a lot more records from a stamper. Thus it is always right to say "you get what you pay for". Not all records are create equal. One should experience it once to check what a bad and a good pressing sounds like. Happy listening !!

The festive season is now over and we are all back at work with anticipation to provide our customers with our service and it is great to be back. We spent the break overseas relaxing and enjoying the food and the hospitality in Thailand and Taiwan but home is what we missed most. We lost another great legend, the great David Bowie. Known for his musical innovation mainly from the 1970's. David will be missed and may he rest in Peace. Good news: Forbes/Business reported that the sales of vinyl records continued to increase for the last 10 straight years - and again this year from 9.2 million (2014) to 11.9million (2015). Spin on vinyl lovers! It is also great to note that at the CES 2016 and with the resurgence of vinyl records we have Panasonic introducing new turntables again. That is it for now. Till next time...
