Fasting.....The real reason it is good for the human body rather than just another fad. There his overwhelming scientific evidence that suggests regular fasting has an amazing impact on the human body's cellular regeneration processes. I am often told I look much younger than I am and while genetics plays a part in that, if I didn't support my body and religiously give it excellent nutrition which includes fasting, I doubt I would look and feel much younger than some of my peers. The fasting system I follow is structured and effective so it will remain a part of my lifestyle.

Sunday Night

If you missed the story on Type II Diabetes on Sunday night here it is for you to view. It's well worth watching. The reference to people who are "skinny fat" was of particular interest to me as an exercise professional. It a known fact among exercise and health professionals that some people who don't appear to be overweight, are in fact "skinny fat" they can be at a higher risk because they are not obese so the very idea they may be at risk of Type II Diabetes does not even occur to them.

A big HWBW congratulations Rose. Your gutsy efforts have been inspirational! On the 8th February 2016 Rose started her training with us to prepare for sleeve surgery which she was booked in for on the 19th March 2016. Rose's surgeon requested a weight reduction of 10 kg and a reduction in waist size prior to surgery. Within 10 days Rose had reduced her weight by 2.6 kg and her total body measurements by 18.5 cm so we were on target to achieve the surgeon's requested weight reduction with 4 weeks to go. Then Rose made a stunning decision to cancel her sleeve surgery, educate herself on nutrition and do the hard work. Rose trained with me yesterday and to date has lost 13.8 kg and a whopping 89.5 cm of her body in 12 weeks. An awesome result and she is committed to achieving her goal weight!!

This really puts things into perspective. If you want to reduce your weight and improve your health you must change your lifestyle, meaning - change the way you eat, exercise, plan your meals and day to day activities. It is a for life commitment. Don't be naive enough to think if you exercise you can eat junk food and improve your health. If you don't have time to exercise and take care of your health now you will have to find time for sickness later.

Well 12,438 steps and 7.76km completed and 2,125 calories burned today. Here is a snapshot of my day. Coached 2 gymnastics classes this morning, trained one of my personal training clients, did a 3km run on treadmill and the rest was general walking throughout the day. Tomorrow I am going to do 15,000 steps.
