Representatives from 27 Sub Branches met in Nanango on the 26th November for a District General Meeting. Members reviewed the new draft constitution and were definitely appreciative of the RSL QLD State President being in attendance giving an update on various issues. TARAS Hall next to the Nanango RSL has an excellent display of murals of different conflicts and is well worth a look.

Great to see the finished product and that it is in action already. Must be time to book a meeting to host a BBQ at the beach for District members. Congratulations to the team that got the project up and running.

An important article for you to refer to as sending care parcels is something many of you think about at this time of year. The preferred method of support now is a donation to the Australian Forces Oversease fund as then the care packages are professionally prepared to meet the standards.

For the cooks out there this is an interesting exercise you may like to duplicate. I'm not sure how it would fit into the school curriculum but I think it would also be a different activity you could incorporate with ANZAC presentations at school.
