Vet Behaviour Team

Always keep an eye on your dog, infact all dogs when you go to the dog park. it is so easy to get distracted in conversation with other dog owners and think your dog is having a great time, but things can change so quickly. If I go to the dog park I call the dog back to me on a regular basis and interact.

Today I went to walk Chloe & Hunter for the first time and this is the welcome I got from (to be honest I don't know which one it is!) as you'll see in the 3rd photo they are very similar. It may take me a few weeks to know whose who!

On Sunday Maple was enjoying a lovely walk with family and friends when she was attacked by 2 very large dogs in the Banks Street Reserve. The attack was unprovoked and she needed medical attention. One of the dogs was a Rottweiler and the other possibly a Bull Arab cross, both dogs were not on leads and the owner was unresponsive to the incident. Please be aware of these dogs so nothing like this happens again to an innocent sweet dog like Maple.
