The rain certainly didnt deter the 273 runners who turned out for thier weekly parkrun fix at Stones Corner this morning. Congratulations to each and every one of you - it was lovely to see so many smiling faces out on the course. Peter Jones, Timothy Goulding and Simon Black were first across the line, and Alyce MCKENZIE, Julie LEARY, and Gillian EASTGATE were the first three female finishers. Of the 273 runners this week, we welcomed 31 first timers and a massive 53 of you recorded new Personal Bests. CONGRATULATIONS! A round of applause to our marvellous volunteers, Tegan FRAIL, Bay MCGOVERN, Kylie MELVILLE, David MELVILLE, Janette POLSON, Jana ROHOZINSKI, Catherine SCOTT, Rebecca WILLOUGHBY who made this mornings event run so smoothly. Wow, what a morning, a new course attendance record and a new age graded record, and even in that humidity! Our previous attendance record was 282, this morning we had 295, well done to all who came along for a record breaking morning. We also had 36 first timers and 40 PB's, I'm especially impressed with so many PB's on such a humid morning. Another big congratulations goes to Bernie PORTENSKI who joined us for the first time from New Zealand, while she was here she decided to go and smash our age graded record, an amazing 94.43%, well done Bernie! A massive thank you to our volunteers this morning, even with a record attendance everything went like clockwork, thank you also to Drew Ascough for jumping in and helping out with scanning. There's been lots of talk of rain and storms over the next few days, don't forget that if it does rain check back here Friday night and Saturday morning to ensure we are going ahead, we will post updates if anything changes. Hopefully it doesn't affect parkrun, we will run even if it's raining but only if it's safe, unfortunately a swim leg isn't permitted so flooding will stop us.

258 runners today - lots of PB's again and welcome to the 33 first timers at Stones Corner. Our volunteers today were an awesome bunch, (as always) and thanks Laura for the great selection of photos - and the selfie too!
