Regent Honeyeater update - We are happy to announce a new fledgling has been added to this critically endangered species population! These pics were taken recently of the happy family in Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park, with the newest member to the Regent Honeyeater family looking fit and well. The new mother is one of the 101 captive bred birds released in April this year, and identified by her brightly coloured leg bands. The father is a wild bird (no leg bands). This is a great result for the community monitoring program based in Chiltern, and our partner agencies involved in the Regent Honeyeater National Recovery Plan.
