Taking your four legged friend on a car trip these holidays? Where ever you’re heading on holidays it’s important to make sure you travel safely with your dog. It is recommended that you restrain your dog when travelling by car to prevent both distraction for the driver as well as preventing the dog jumping out of a window. The most common vehicle restraints are those can attach to existing belt buckles or that clip directly into the seatbelt and then attached to your dog’s collar or harness. If you have any questions about the best way to travel with your dog, give our friendly staff a call on 9816 3714 for more advice

It’s coming up on New Years Eve, which means - fireworks! Firework displays may be exciting and beautiful to us humans, but the same can’t be said for all family members. Loud and unexpected noises can be extremely distressing for our pets! We’ve put together some helpful tips below to protect your pet from firework fright: - Exercise and feed your pet before fireworks start. - Set them up in a secure and safe place before fireworks begin. - Staying home with your pet is ideal. - Be aware of any signs of stress. - Make sure your pet is microchipped and has external identification (name and telephone number) in case of escape. If you have any other questions about keeping your pet calm and safe give us a call on 9816 3714 for more information.

Just a reminder that while we may love give our furry friends a little treat off our plate from Christmas lunch a lot of foods can upset our pet’s stomach and potentially make them very ill. So, try to resist those “puppy dog eyes”! If you have any questions or need advice about nutrition and no-go foods this festive season, please call our friendly staff on 9816 3714 for more information. Don’t forget – we offer nutritional consults
